Knit 101

It's time to get your knit on! Project Class

Stuck on a project you just can't seem to finish? Is there a pattern you have always wanted to try but felt you needed help? Never fear, our in-house knitting Goddess Maureen is here! She is ready to be your personal knitting wizard, answer your questions, and generally make you get that project done. Basic knitting experience is required, and students are encouraged to bring a second project to work on in case they get stuck during class.   Cancellation Policy: Should the store cancel a class, a total refund or store credit will be issued, however, participants must cancel a class at least 2 weeks before the class is scheduled in order to receive a full refund or store credit.

Knit 201: Beginnings and Endings

Join knit whiz Maureen for our last in a series of intermediate level workshops designed to help you improve your knitting skills! This workshop will focus on tubular and provisional cast ons, kitchener stitch, grafting, and kitchener cast-off. Students should have basic knitting experience - this is not an introductory course. Supplies are not included - students should bring their knitting accessories, a set of 4 or 4.5 mm needles, leftover balls of worsted weight yarns in multiple colours, a blunt-tip darning needle, and a 3 or 4 mm crochet hook.   Other workshops in this series include: Read Those Darn Stitches! Unfinished Business Sizing and Swatching Whoops! Knit 201: Read Those Darn Stitches!

Join knit whiz Maureen for our first in a pair of intermediate level workshops designed to help you improve your knitting skills! This workshop will focus on learning how to read your stitches (so that you can identify where you are in your pattern and your project), and will go over the fundamentals of well executed knitting, design, and problem solving. Students should have basic knitting experience - this is not an introductory course. Supplies are not included - students should bring their knitting accessories, a set of 4 or 4.5 mm needles, and leftover balls of worsted weight yarns in multiple colours.   Other workshops in this short-version series include: Whoops! This workshop will focus on unknitting, ripping back, dropping stitches, and picking them back up! Students should have basic knitting experience - this is not an introductory course.
