Date(s) - 5 Nov 2017 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Come learn the basics of tapestry weaving with local fibre artist Natalie Eedson of Woolgathering Ottawa. In this four hour hands-on workshop, you’ll learn foundational techniques of weaving, including warping your loom, rya knots (fringe!), plain weave, working shapes, changing colours and finishing. You can also get creative working with roving, and learn the pile weave and the soumak weave to give you wall hanging lots of fluffy textures. By the end you’ll have a beautiful woven wall hanging to cozy up your home, and a passion for more!
