Great news for felters! We have some new batting that you’ll love. The first comes all the way from Norway and is known as C1 Pelsul. This batting is hard wearing and easy to felt. It’s the perfect product for felters who like to make: shoes, bags, slippers, anything that needs to be tough. It comes in great colours. We recently used this batting in our rug class. The results were marvelous. (Check out the photos.)The other product we have that felters will love is Harrisville Batting. This comes in tweedy colours and is known to be an all purpose batting that felts quickly and easily. It’s perfect for kid’s projects such as: playmats and toys. We used this in our Gnome House class and everybody loved it.

On March 15th and 16th, we’ve got four great workshops designed to introduce kids to the joy of crafting. And to give their lovely parents a break. You can sign-up for all four or pick just one.

March Madness For Fibre Kids

Join us at Wabi-Sabi for Fibre Daze during March break! Our March break classes are designed for kids 7+.

On March 15th and 16th we will be offering 4 classes.

March 15th in the morning from 10:30-12:30, we will offer a kids knitting class. Kids can learn the basics of knitting or build on skills they already have!

In the afternoon from 1:30-3:30, we will be wet felting angry birds inspired by the video game of the same name.

March 16th in the morning from 10:30-12:30, we will be making Charlie’s friends. Working with recycled wool & buttons, kids will learn sewing basics to complete a stuffie.

In the afternoon from 1:30-3:30, we will be making a bird feeder made from recycled materials.

Classes are $20 per child per class. If you sign-up for 3 or 4 classes the rate is $16 per class.

Kids staying for an entire day of classes should bring a lunch.
