Learn all about basic cuff-up mitten construction while knitting up a quick pair of cozy mitts!
A perfect class for first-time mitten knitters, our instructor Emily is ready to teach you all about double pointed needles, gussets, thumbs, and more. Intermediate knitting experience is required - students should be comfortable casting on, knitting, purling, ribbing, binding off, and working in the round on a circular needle.

Supplies are not included, but students will receive a 15% discount in-store on any supplies for the course. Choose between worsted and chunky weight yarn. (If planning to knit the largest adult size, please double check yardage requirements as stated in the pattern that we have linked to below). Students are encouraged to download a digital copy of this free pattern in advance of the class, as it comes with lots of helpful links.

Pattern: The World’s Simplest Mittens

Supplies needed for Worsted Weight Mittens:

  • 100 grams of worsted weight yarn (gauge 20 sts = 4”)
  • both 3.75 mm & 4.5 mm double pointed needles
  • stitch markers
  • some scrap yarn
  • a darning needle

Supplies needed for Chunky Weight Mittens:

  • 100 grams of chunky weight yarn (gauge 18 sts = 4”)
  • both 4 mm & 5 mm double pointed needles
  • stitch markers
  • some scrap yarn
  • a darning needle

Cancellation Policy
Students must cancel at least 2 weeks before the class is scheduled in order to receive a refund. Should the store cancel a class, students will receive a full refund.
