Learn the basics of Sarah’s gnome patterns with Gnoah. Cute, sweet, simple, and fast to knit, he’ll give you confidence to tackle other gnomes and toys. Knit in worsted weight yarn using your choice of knitting in the round methods.
Class time: 3 hours, 1-4 pm on October 28
Required Skills: Able to knit, purl, and work in the round with one of the following methods: DPNs, magic loop, or the 2 circs method.
You’ll learn: The fundamental of gnome / toy making, including i-cord, stuffing, changing colour, sewing pieces together and dealing with the ends.
What you need:
- Worsted weight yarn in 3 colours : one for the hat, one for the body, and one for the beard, nose, and hands. Wool or a wool blend is suggested.
- Weighted stuffing (poly pellets, or beans) and a fluffy wool or polyfill stuffing
- Yarn or darning needle
- Removable stitch marker
- US 5 / 3.75 mm needles for knitting a small number of stitches in the round (double pointed needles OR a long circular for magic loop, as you prefer)
Included in the class fee: A special learning version of Gnoah, which will be available digitally after you register for the class, plus a code for downloading the full Gno Fun Like Gnome Fun pattern from Ravelry.
Cancelled classes may be refunded to store credit if we receive notification 14 days in advance of the first class. If the cancellation is within two weeks of the start date of the first class, a refund to store credit will be issued only if we are able to fill the spot.
