intro to knitting part 2

Second in our series of beginner classes, Intro 2 builds on the basic skills learned in Intro 1. In this class, participants will be introduced to increasing and decreasing stitiches, as well as casting on and knitting in the round. This class has two projects - a cotton washcloth and a cowl.

skills needed:  To benefit from this class, you will need to be comfortable with the skills taught in the introduction to knitting class.  You should be able to cast on, cast off, knit and purl with confidence.  If you do not know how to do any of these skills, please take the introduction to knitting class first.

materials:  For the dishcloth, you will need 1 ball of Sudz, and a pair of 4.5mm needles (the same pair used in the Introduction to Knitting class).  For the cowl, you will need a pair of 5.5mm circular needles, in a length of 60cm/24", and a skein of Mercado or Amelie yarn.  Materials are not included in the price of this class.

This class has 3 dates, of 2 hours each (6 hours in total), and will take place on Sunday mornings, from 10am - 12pm on May 7, 14, and 21.
