Want to learn how to knit a pair of socks the magic loop way? This class is the perfect introduction for first time sock knitters and those wanting to learn how to step away from the DPNs and learn the magic loop way. By using a basic vanilla sock pattern (My Favorite Sock Pattern by Kristin Lehrer, a free pattern on Ravelry), you will learn how to use this handy technique to work effortlessly in the round and how to finish the toe of the sock in a smooth and clean way with the Kitchener Stitch.

What you'll learn:

Magic loop for knitting in the round, turning a heel, Kitchener stitch.

Required skills:

It is assumed for this class that you are comfortable with the basics of the knit stitch, purl stitch, casting on and how to knit in the round.  If you are not, please develop comfort with these skills before taking the class.

What to bring:

Materials for this class are not included.

Fingering weight yarn, preferably with at least 20% nylon content; size 1 US (2.25mm) circular needles (although a 2 US would do) with 32" (80cm) cable.

This three-part class runs from 12pm - 2pm on Wednesdays, June 14, 21, and 28.
