It’s time, Knitters… time to cut your knitting. Let this easy, lightweight cardigan be your first steeked garment! Knit at a loose gauge with Lettlopi, a wool that blooms beautifully after washing, this is a pretty quick knit, with a simply-designed pattern that makes colour choices easy.
The cardigan is worked from the bottom up in the round. You work the body, then sleeves, then join those pieces and work the yoke up to the neck. Add the button and buttonhole bands, then… snip, snip!
Join us for this class where we’ll delve into the techniques and methods of traditional cardigan construction.
Students should have experience with sweater construction, picking up stitches, and know how to read colourwork charts and execute stranded knitting with two colours per round
Materials and Tools:
For class you should bring:
Lettlopi wool in quantities recommended in pattern
Buttons, scissors, darning needle, long stitch holders (cords, scrap yarn)
Pencil/pen for notes
Needles – 5.5mm and 6.5mm are recommended. Swatch and wash to check gauge and to ensure you like the fabric you will make.
A copy of the pattern will be provided for you in class.

Cancelled classes may be refunded to store credit if we receive notification 14 days in advance of the first class. If the cancellation is within two weeks of the start date of the first class, a refund to store credit will be issued only if we are able to fill the spot.
