aranami shawl

by Olga Buraya-Kefelian

Aranami 荒波 (Japanese.)- (n) stormy seas, raging waves

Color and patterning of this shawl are like a winter ocean with foamy raging waves on the surface. Poor weather and dark skies reflecting in the ocean add to the colour and obscure grey lines of the horizon merging with the sky. Worked in modular technique, this shawl is a great travel project as elements are worked one at a time. Pick your colours and see them transition under your fingers!
