Shipping policy
where do you ship?
We are currently shipping Canada-wide. If you place an order that we are unable to ship to you, we will contact you and refund your order and shipping fee as quickly as possible.
Due to the removal of the de minimis exemption for parcels crossing to the US and ongoing and unpredictable applications of tariffs (and the associated paperwork and labour that creates for us), we are not shipping to the United States at this time.
what does shipping cost?
- Orders up to $174.99 are shipped for $15
- Orders over $175 may be eligible for free shipping. The amount that counts towards free shipping is calculated on regular priced stock only: sale, special order, clearance items and trunk show items do not count toward this total. If you are charged shipping and you ordered any of these items in addition to $175 of regular priced items, we will refund the shipping charge manually.
- Because of their size, larger Ashford items (reeds, looms, etc.) are not eligible for free shipping.
- If you are ordering a small item that will fit in a letter envelope (such as lighter weight needles), and you would like to save on shipping, let us know in the comments on your order that you would like it shipped by letter. We will refund $10 of the shipping fee, and send your item that way. Please note, however, that shipping this way will take longer, is not trackable, and you will be assuming the risk if the item is lost in the mail. We will not send this way unless we are asked specifically on the order to do so.
how fast do you ship?
We try to get all our orders out the door as quickly as possible. Most orders are packed and sent the same day, however, occasionally it takes an extra business day or two to get them picked up by our carriers. During our slower summer season, package pickup may be reduced to twice a week, usually Tuesdays and Fridays.
If we need to contact you about your order, we will do so by email or telephone.
what companies do you ship with?
In order to keep our shipping rates fair, we choose from the best rates available from a number of different carriers, including Canada Post, Purolator, UPS, and Fedex. Rates change almost daily, so we will ship with the most economical option that is available.
If you have a preferred carrier, you can let us know. If there is a significant cost to ship that way (more than $5), we will send you an invoice for the difference between what we would have paid with our default shipping method.
what if a package is lost?
Wabi Sabi is not liable for any products damaged or lost during shipping. If you received your order damaged, please contact the carrier to file a claim. Please save all packaging materials and damaged goods before filing a claim. If you need our help with this, we are happy to do so.
what if I want to pick my order up?
In-store and curbside pickup orders are picked and ready as soon as possible, usually within an hour of us receiving the order if it is placed during store hours. Please wait until you get your confirmation, however, if you would like your order rushed, please call the store when you place your order so that we know that you are in a hurry. During busy times, we may not be able to accommodate rushed orders, but we will always do our best.
