Curious about crocheting adorable stuffed animals and characters? Amigurumi Basics is the perfect workshop to get you started! Over two sessions, you’ll learn the foundational shapes and techniques needed to create your own amigurumi projects.
What is Amigurumi?
Amigurumi is the Japanese art of crocheting small stuffed creatures, from cute animals to whimsical characters. The word "amigurumi" comes from the Japanese words ami (meaning "crocheted" or "knitted") and nuigurumi (meaning "stuffed doll"). This craft has been popular in Japan for decades and has now become a favorite among makers worldwide for its charm, creativity, and endless possibilities.

This class is designed for confident beginners— students should know how to chain and single crochet.

cancellation policy
Cancelled classes may be refunded to store credit if we receive notification 14 days in advance of the first class. If the cancellation is within two weeks of the start date of the first class, a refund to store credit will be issued only if we are able to fill the spot.
Very last minute cancellations (within 48 hours) are not eligible for refund in any form, as it does not allow us fair time to attempt to fill the spot.
We do not offer partial or full refund, in the form of store credit or alternate dates, for missed classes unless they are cancelled by the shop due to weather or similar calamity.
This policy is to let us keep prices as low as possible while ensuring that our instructors are fairly compensated for the time spent prepping and teaching their classes.
