recommended for: socks, lace
made in Italy
- Material: 80% wool, 20% linen
- Yardage: 420m/100g
- Needle: 2,5 mm
- Gauge: 26 = 10 cm
- Material Consumption for women's jumper size M: 400g
- Washing instructions: Machine wash 30 degrees
This wonderful material combination was originally invented for making a sock yarn. And it was tested as a sock yarn (worn and washed several times) and we are extremely pleased with the results. BUT: the yarn is so beautiful and nice and drapey, that it is also perfectly suitable for pullovers and cardigans as well!
By the way: The wool is from Czechia, the linen from Belgium, which makes it a pure European yarn.

kremke soul wool
Each strand of Kremke Soul Wool embodies a dedication that transcends mere needlework β the delight of meticulously planning, developing and experimenting with extraordinary yarns not commonly found on the market. The yarn narrates a tale of environmental consideration, responsible resources and a steadfast commitment to sustainable practices. All wool yarns are mulesing-free and adherence to the Responsible Mohair Standard (RMS) ensures the welfare of mohair goats. -
linen
Linen is a fibre made from the flax plant. It's strong, absorbent, and dries quickly, making it a comfortable fabric to wear in warm weather. Linen tends to feel fairly rough in the skein, and softens a great deal with wear and washing. It has excellent drape and breathability. -
wool
Wool is a textile fibre produced by the shearing of sheep. The breed of the sheep, where it was raised, and how the fibre was treated after shearing can all affect the final characteristics of wool. While some is quite harsh and rough, other wool can be luxuriously soft and squishy. As a fibre, wool is very good at trapping heat, and is one of the few fibres that stays warm even when wet. -
mulesing free
Mulesing is a controversial farming practice used, predominantly in Australia, to prevent the parasidic infection flystrike. While mulesing prevents infection, it is a very painful procedure for the animal to endure, and more humane alternatives exist. This practice is banned in many areas of the world. If a yarn is marked as mulesing free, that means that no animals were treated this way during the production of the yarn.
