Knitted lace creates a delicate and airy fabric, perfect for lightweight accessories and as decorative elements on larger projects. In this 2-week workshop, we'll learn how to read lacework pattern charts (and decode all those symbols!), work increases and decreases in pattern, and make the Cloudburst fingerless mittens. This pattern is available online from Ravelry.
What You'll Learn:
- how to read lacework pattern charts
- increasing and decreasing in pattern
- magic loop method for small-circumference knitting.
Materials:
Please bring the following with you to class:
- 150m / 50g of fingering weight yarn
- a 60cm (or longer) circular needle in size 3mm
- a copy of the class pattern: available online free, or by email from your instructor
Skill Level:
This workshop is suitable for confident early knitters who are comfortable with casting on, knitting, purling and working in the round.

Cancelled classes may be refunded to store credit if we receive notification 14 days in advance of the first class. If the cancellation is within two weeks of the start date of the first class, a refund to store credit will be issued only if we are able to fill the spot.
