Are you ready to start needle felting? This comprehensive starter kit provides everything you need to get started right away and create cute 3D forest animals. Ideal for both beginners and experts.

Perfect for Beginners and Advanced: This starter kit is ideal for anyone who wants to start needle felting or for those who want to expand their skills.

Attention: Felt needles are fragile. Make sure you always poke and pull the needle into the felt at the same angle. Avoid lateral tension, do not pry! It is wise to always have some extra needles in stock.

All kits contain 2 felting needles, an ecologically friendly foam pillow, a wooden felting needle holder, and all the materials needed to make five to six creatures.  The kits also have clear instructions, and video links for easy reference.

The forest animals kit makes a bear with cub, a deer, a badger, a  fox and a squirrel.

The sea creatures kit makes a seal, crab, shark, whale with baby and a walrus.

The dinosaurs kit makes five adult dinosaurs, and a baby.

  • wool

Wool is a textile fibre produced by the shearing of sheep. The breed of the sheep, where it was raised, and how the fibre was treated after shearing can all affect the final characteristics of wool. While some is quite harsh and rough, other wool can be luxuriously soft and squishy. As a fibre, wool is very good at trapping heat, and is one of the few fibres that stays warm even when wet.
  • mulesing free

Mulesing is a controversial farming practice used, predominantly in Australia, to prevent the parasidic infection flystrike. While mulesing prevents infection, it is a very painful procedure for the animal to endure, and more humane alternatives exist. This practice is banned in many areas of the world. If a yarn is marked as mulesing free, that means that no animals were treated this way during the production of the yarn.
