These handy little tools work like magic (or magnetism, whichever floats your boat!). To use a pendle, the spindle goes through the core of a ball of yarn, and then is reattached to the stand.  As you knit or crochet, the hanging spindle turns to give you just the right amount of yarn when you need it.
