Mitts are a great way to practice small circumference knitting.  Generally made with thicker yarn and larger needles than socks, fingerless mitts in particular work up quickly and rib patterns such as the one in this design fit a variety of hand sizes.  Join us and work through these mitts - they are a great first project for making a shaped thumb gusset.

What You'll Learn
In this class, you'll learn how to make a shaped thumb gusset, as well as solidify skills working with double pointed needles

Required Skills
Cast on, knit and purl in the round.

Before Class Homework
Cast on and knit the cuff of one mitt

What to Bring

5mm double pointed needles, and 100g of light worsted / heavy dk yarn.  Stitch markers, a printed copy of the pattern, and a pencil or pen for notes.
