made in Peru

There is little not to love about Lana Grande!  It knits up fast, comes in a wide variety of colours, all while being made of nice soft 100% Peruvian wool. Affordably priced, it is durable enough to withstand the wear that only a favourite hat endures in a Ottawa winter, while being soft enough for warm and cozy sweaters.

don't miss out on our yarn kits, if you're looking for some project inspiration!

  • peruvian highland wool

This breed of sheep is a cross of Corriedale and Merino. These sheep produce a wool that combines softness with functionality: while not as soft as pure merino, the wool is still suitable for next-to-skin garments, with greater resilience for daily wear and use.
  • mulesing free

Mulesing is a controversial farming practice used, predominantly in Australia, to prevent the parasidic infection flystrike. While mulesing prevents infection, it is a very painful procedure for the animal to endure, and more humane alternatives exist. This practice is banned in many areas of the world. If a yarn is marked as mulesing free, that means that no animals were treated this way during the production of the yarn.
