Tynn Line is the fingering weight version of Sandnes Garn's Line, and it brings the same warm-weather strengths to a finer gauge. The cotton provides softness and washability, the viscose adds drape and a subtle sheen, and the linen contributes breathability and a natural crispness that softens with wear. The combination produces a fabric that's light, fluid, and comfortable in warm conditions: ideal for summer tops, lightweight shawls, and anything you want to wear when it's too warm for wool. Good stitch definition for a drapey yarn.
dependable, versatile, and ready for anything
Tynn line is a yarn that we would categorize as a workhorse. Workhorse yarns are dependable, sturdy, and reliable. They’ll help you get the job done: no drama, no complaints, just steady confidence and comfortable results. Built to balance durability with wearability, they’re the quiet backbone of many well-loved garments.
Don’t mistake dependable for dull. Workhorse yarns are wonderful partners for textured stitches and colourwork patterns that deserve to shine. And as always, swatching will help you get the fabric you’re hoping for.

Using 3.00 mm (US 2.5) needles (or whatever your pattern recommends), cast on 10 stitches. Knit 6 rows. Repeat the following 2 rows until the work measures 3":
- knit 3, purl to the last 3 stitches, knit 3
- knit all stitches
Knit 6 more rows and cast off. Wash and block using the same method you will use for the finished item. Measure and count your gauge across the middle stitches of the swatch.
