introduction to knitting: july
This is an in-person class held at 1078 Wellington St. W., Ottawa. We prefer that you wear a mask during class for the safety of the instructor and other students.
This introduction-level class is for those who want to learn to knit, as well as for those who want a refresher after having put down the needles some time ago. This class is predominantly instructional, and will get you started on a beginner-level project on which you can practice your newfound skills.
What You'll Learn: This class will teach you the basics of knitting and following a pattern. You will learn:
- the knit stitch
- the purl stitch
- casting on
- casting off
Required Skills: This is a beginner-level class, and as such, no prior knowledge of knitting is expected.
What to Bring: The materials you need will be provided, and are included in the price of this class.
July: This in person class is held over three sessions. The dates for the July session are July 10, 17, and 24. The classes are held at Wabi Sabi, and take place from 10am until noon.
