Cascade BFL yarn is spun from 100% BFL (Bluefaced Leicester) wool in a light worsted / DK weight in a lovely array of jewel tones and neutrals.

The Bluefaced Leicester Sheep is a longwool breed of sheep from Leicestershire in the Midlands of England and is named for the sheep's bluish-appearing face.  BFL sheep are known for having curly, fine, light and lustrous wool giving it soft and springy texture.  The wool of the Blue Faced Leicester is curled, rather than crimped, so the resulting fiber has excellent drape.  The wool is soft and strong making it a great choice for hard-wearing garments, like sweaters, outerwear, and socks.

It is an excellent hand-knitting yarn with a wonderful bounce and feel.  We are sure it will be a fast favorite.
