colour1081 coast heather

Cascade 220 is one of the most widely used worsted weight yarns available, and for good reason. 100% Peruvian wool at an accessible price point, with a colour range that covers solids, heathers, and tweeds in more shades than almost any comparable yarn. It's honest, reliable, and versatile: good for sweaters, accessories, colourwork, and felting. Not superwash treated, so hand wash or treat gently; it felts readily if agitated in hot water, which makes it equally useful for intentional felting projects. A genuine stash staple.

dependable, versatile, and ready for anything

220 worsted is a yarn that we would categorize as a workhorse. Workhorse yarns are dependable, sturdy, and reliable. They’ll help you get the job done: no drama, no complaints, just steady confidence and comfortable results. Built to balance durability with wearability, they’re the quiet backbone of many well-loved garments.

Don’t mistake dependable for dull. Workhorse yarns are wonderful partners for textured stitches and colourwork patterns that deserve to shine. And as always, swatching will help you get the fabric you’re hoping for.
