Harris is a great yarn that you can feel great about crafting with! It meets the Global Recycled standard, and is made from predominantly upcycled fibres. With a great selection of intense, saturated colours, the tweedy bits add depth and interest to any project.
bold, dramatic, and happiest in the spotlight
Harris is a yarn that we would categorize as a diva. Some yarns are happy to support the pattern. This one prefers to be the star. Diva yarns bring luxurious fibres, bold colours, and textures that practically demand attention: perfect when you want your project to make an entrance.
Divas shine brightest when they’re given room to perform. Simple stitches and minimal colourwork let their character take the spotlight. They can handle more complicated patterns but rarely need them. Swatch carefully and follow laundering instructions to keep your star in top form.

Which knitting stitch patterns work best with this yarn?
How do I make a basic gauge swatch for this yarn?
Using 3.75 mm (US 5) - 4.50 mm (US 7) needles (or whatever your pattern recommends), cast on 10 stitches. Knit 6 rows. Repeat the following 2 rows until the work measures 3":
- knit 3, purl to the last 3 stitches, knit 3
- knit all stitches
Knit 6 more rows and cast off. Wash and block using the same method you will use for the finished item. Measure and count your gauge across the middle stitches of the swatch.
