Line is Sandnes Garn's plant-based worsted yarn: completely wool-free and built from a blend of cotton, viscose, and linen that prioritizes drape and breathability. The cotton provides softness and washability, the viscose adds fluid drape and a subtle sheen, and the linen contributes natural breathability and a crispness that softens and improves with wear. The result is a yarn that behaves very differently from wool: less elastic, more drapey: and is best suited to patterns designed for plant-based fibres. Like many plant-based yarns, it can comfortably knit at a slightly tighter gauge: which is why we include it in the DK section as well as worsted. Just gauge swatch carefully. Excellent for warm weather garments, and a good option for knitters and recipients who prefer or require wool-free yarn.
