Silk is pure luxury! Along with its natural sheen, it is strong, resistant to pilling, and has long fibres that make it easy to spin.  It takes dye to produce stunning depth of colour, and blends beautifully with other fibres.

Mulberry silk is pure white and is produced from silk worms which have fed on Mulberry leaves.

Our mulberry silk tops come from China and are carefully selected to ensure constant quality over time. The dyeing complies with Oeko-Tex Standard 100 and is done in our dyeinghouse which is GOTS 5.0 and GRS certified.

We usually order from this supplier every month or two, and if the item you have chosen is available, we will place it on our next order and notify you when it arrives.

  • mulberry silk

Mulberry silk is renowned for its fine texture, softness, and durability. The fibers produced by silkworms that consume mulberry leaves are longer and more uniform in size, resulting in a fabric that is stronger, smoother, and more lustrous.
  • oeko-tex standard 100

OEKO-TEXÂź STANDARD 100 is a label for textiles tested for harmful substances. It sets the benchmark for textile safety, from yarn to finished product. Every item bearing the STANDARD 100 label is certified as having passed safety tests for the presence of harmful substances. For our purposes, this is likely to refer to the dyes that are used on fibres and yarns.
  • GOTS certified organic

The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) was developed by leading standard setters to define world-wide recognised requirements for organic textiles. From the harvesting of the raw materials, environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing to labelling, textiles certified to GOTS provide a credible assurance to the consumer.
