Silk is pure luxury! Along with its natural sheen, it is strong, resistant to pilling, and has long fibres that make it easy to spin.  It takes dye to produce stunning depth of colour, and blends beautifully with other fibres.

Mulberry silk is pure white and is produced from silk worms which have fed on Mulberry leaves.

Our mulberry silk tops come from China and are carefully selected to ensure constant quality over time. The dyeing complies with Oeko-Tex Standard 100 and is done in our dyeinghouse which is GOTS 5.0 and GRS certified.

Since 1952, DHG has been creating colours. Fibres dyed in their plant have left Prato, the largest Italian textile district, and travelled to every part of the globe. They offer a wide variety of fibres, dyed in shades inspired by art and nature.

Mulberry silk is renowned for its fine texture, softness, and durability. The fibers produced by silkworms that consume mulberry leaves are longer and more uniform in size, resulting in a fabric that is stronger, smoother, and more lustrous.

oeko-tex standard 100

OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 is a label for textiles tested for harmful substances. It sets the benchmark for textile safety, from yarn to finished product. Every item bearing the STANDARD 100 label is certified as having passed safety tests for the presence of harmful substances. For our purposes, this is likely to refer to the dyes that are used on fibres and yarns.
