Are you ready to take your next steps in knitting? If you've learned how to cast on, knit and purl and want to keep building your skills, come join us to make this beginner-friendly knitted hat (link: https://www.purlsoho.com/create/2014/10/22/classic-cuffed-hat/). This is a great next class if you have graduated from our Introduction to Knitting course.
required skills:
- You must be comfortable with knitting basics (cast on, knit, purl, cast off) to take this class.
what the class teaches:
- how to knit in the round
- how to combine knits and purls to create ribbed fabric
- how to work decreases for crown shaping
what to bring
- 100g/200m of worsted weight wool yarn (e.g. Cascade 220, Malabrigo Worsted)
- Two 40cm circular needles: sizes 3.75mm and 4.5mm
- One set of double-pointed needles: size 4.5mm
- Four stitch markers (or safety pins)
