Supreme Jumper Weight is the undyed version of Jamieson & Smith's classic Shetland yarn, offered in double-sized 50g balls for projects that need uninterrupted yardage. The undyed base showcases the natural shades of Shetland fleece: from creamy white through to natural greys and browns: and is the traditional choice for colourwork where you want to use the wool as nature produced it. All the same characteristics as the standard Jumper Weight: slight natural stickiness ideal for stranded work, good elasticity, rustic warmth. Hand wash recommended.

rooted in tradition and rich with character

Supreme jumper weight is a yarn that we would categorize as a storyteller. The Storyteller carries the echoes of older traditions. These yarns come from heritage fibres, time-honoured spinning methods, and colour palettes shaped by generations of makers. Working with them connects today’s projects to the long, shared history of textile craft.

Storytellers are often a little rustic by nature. They may feel more “sheepy” than modern processed yarns and can be better suited to outerwear or layered garments if you have sensitive skin. Give them the care they deserve: swatch thoughtfully and follow laundering instructions.
